YES — ON SALE

HAY did a hard-to-execute thing: they made a thin-walled tumbler that survives daily life. Most Japanese Kinto glassware looks this good but chips on the second week. HAY's borosilicate blend is tuned for thermal shock, so the dishwasher doesn't crack them.

A set of four is the 'bedside water glass upgrade' that costs $38 total. If you've ever held an Iittala and thought 'why is this $22 each' — it's fine, HAY got you at 40% less.

The Scandi design tax is real. This is one of the few times it's worth paying.

What worked
  • Borosilicate — thin-walled but shock-resistant
  • The only 'Scandi glass' that's actually dishwasher-safe
  • Stackable without scratching
What didn't
  • Breakable if you drop two feet to a hard floor (like any glass)
  • Everyone who comes over asks where they're from
